    Default Allergic to lipstick

I simply love lipsticks especially nude colors but my only problem is I normally got an allergy for quit sometimes. I really dont know why, I cant wear them more that an hour because I always felt itchy every time I use some. I really need help? I wanna know if wearing lipstick for an hour or more than that is really bad?

wearing lipstick that makes your lips itch is bad unless it is just the feeling of lipstick that is making your lips itch. can you use chapstick? i don't wear lipstick because of the flavor. i had the taste it leaves in my mouth. i usually use shiney lip gloss or rosebud salve but not real lipstick.

Lip gloss would be your best bet if you are having problems with lipstick. You have to be careful with gloss, balm and lipstick as they are not all equal. Some of them have just junk in them where others are made with butters and oils which are really nice. Again, read the labels of absolutely everything you buy. I think I mentioned this before but I make my own lip balms, lipstick and lip gloss. That way I know exactly what is in them and I can add as much colour and flavour that I want. They are extremely easy to make as well. I realize everyone doesn't have the time though and some don't want to make their own stuff so read you labels there are lots of nice lip balms out there that are already made and some have just a hint of colour which is nice.

If you could identify the ingredient in the lipstick that makes your lips itch, you could simply avoid it. I know it's not that simple, but it's worth trying

Maybe because you got alergic reaction with Carmine. Carmine also called Crimson Lake, Cochineal, Natural Red #4, is a pigment of a bright-red color obtained from the aluminum salt of carminic acid, which is produced by some scale insects, such as the cochineal scale and the Polish cochineal. Carmine is also used as a food dye. As a food dye it has been known to cause severe allergic reactions and anaphylactic shock in some people. (from wikipedia)

Polish cochineal is a bug, imagine you're wipping a bugs extract in your lips?

So next time you buy a lipstick, make it a habit to read the label.

It is very important to choose quality makeup brands. Because cheap products are not good for skin.
