Unexplained headaches which don't go away after using general painkillers should be investigated. Migraines don't respond to regular painkillers so if its a migraine you have you would need to get painkillers specifically for them. I would visit a doctor if you still have it today, your 3rd day.

May be you should also have your eyesight checked and your Blood pressure measured. Besides, if everything appears normal than you can also have one CT scan of head done to exclude probable Malignancies.

Teeth infections also cause sudden headaches. I think you must also see a dentist just to be on a safer side.

Drink plenty of water as dehydration can also cause headache.
