Default Sister has red, itchy skin

My sister has been complaining that her legs and arms are very itchy. I saw that her fingers were also red and flaky. She has not been going to school because of this, afraid she might be bullied or teased because there are also patches of red on her face.

I wonder if this is dangerous, or even contagious. If you know about these symptoms, please let me know here. Thanks. Appreciate it.

    Hi,

I'm sorry I don't have pics of my sister's rashes she doesn't want to have her photos taken. We went to the doctor a few days ago and the doctor said it might be what he called eczema, and it's not contagious. He prescribed a cream for it and she's been trying it out. We don't see any major changes yet. We are still monitoring.

Add one cup baking soda to a tub of warm water. After the bath, it is important to gently pat your skin dry with a towel (or air-dry). For more localized itching you can make a paste of one part water to three parts baking soda. Lemon juice can be directly applied on itchy skin to relieve the irritation.

Her skin is slowly healing but leaving scars in the process. My sister also started doing talk therapy to help her deal with poor self-confidence and self-esteem despite having those scars. Hopefull, she'll get over this obstacle and get back to normal.
