    Default Pomade acne

Acne is frequently classified by causative factors. Pomade acne was generally seen in African Americans and along the hairline. This was due to the use of heavy oil based pomades to straighten the hair. Not seen as much nowadays due to better products in use that do not cause this type of acne. The acne is the common type - acne vaularis, just in a particular location and cause to give itís own delineation

Pomade acne occurs when some of the pomade that is applied to the scalp is also applied to the forehead and is responsible for the development of multiple, closely packed comedones close to the hairline.
