Default My friend has a lupus

How would you help a friend who has been diagnosed with lupus? She told me that there's no cure that's why she is so depressed. I feel sad for her and I don't know how to help her stay positive and feel better even just a bit. The only thing I was able to say was to keep praying and never lose hope.

I understand because my niece is also suffering from lupus. The treatment will actually depend on how serious the symptoms are. I know medications can help though reducing stress and a daily healthy lifestyle is relevant. Your support as a friend matters.

Hey thanks so much for taking time to read my post. I found some advice about addressing depression. Maybe a therapy would somehow help her in facing her situation and enlighten her mind. I saw BetterHelp, a counseling site that provides online therapy. Since her conditon is sensitive, I think an e-counseling would work better for her. I'm crossing my fingers that I may be able to convince her sign up for this.

    Hi,

Finally, was able to convince her to undergo counseling. I have her read articles as to how controlling the stress can help manage lupus. This gave her hope.
