One of the common things that skin care products warn you about is to avoid application on the eye area. But still, I know women who just cant resist slathering the products all over.. and that means every inch of their face.
And if reading this makes you feel like a culprit… don’t pause. Just read on…
The skin around your eye area is extremely thin and fragile. Yeah… It’s thin enough to allow seepage of skin care products into your eyes. This is why you need to take extra care when you choose a skincare product for this area. Unless you are using a dedicated eye care product, make sure you don’t let any other products, be it toners, serums or even moisturizers to seep in.
Vitamin C serums, when used around the eye area are known to cause reddening for some people. Another dangerous ingredient is Retin-A. It can lead to serious side effects like flaking and peeling.
Therefore, avoid all sorts’ creamy and oily products.
Also, you must have noticed how women strategically leave their eye areas while applying face masks. This is because most of them tend to be too concentrated in terms of the ingredient mix and can be dangerous for the eye contours. Also, don’t exfoliate around your eyes lest you want to speed up premature wrinkles.
In addition to all this, make sure you check your own eye condition. If you have sensitive eyes, then avoid all skin care products that may potentially irritate your eyes due to seepage. Also, if you wear contact lenses, avoid skin care products that contain oil because oil not only sticks to the lens and causes blurred vision, but can also cause permanent staining.

Very informative post, indeed! I agreed with you that many women applied the skin care product near their eyes also. Eyes and skin around are very sensitive and we should take care of them.
I use Kimia Precious Eye Serum and have done for a while now
It’s a serum and 100% natural, without any chemicals what so ever
Apart from getting really pleasing results from it, it is very gentle and I haven’t had any side effects.
I agree with the fragility of the skin around the eyes and this product goes to great lengths to explain how to apply the eye serum and how carefully too.
yes, always remember the eye are because it’s the most sensitive part of the face,
If you don’t mind I would like to introduce to you this great anti-aging product. It’s the Shielo ANTI-AGING Visage Complexion Moisturizer. Rich in antioxidants and bioflavanoids, the moisturizer is designed to infuse healthy ingredients into your skin, leading to a youthful, fresh look.
Never use anything that has any type of acid in it, that will potentially burn your eyes and cause a nasty pain. Always look for natural products if possible.
This is one great post to note. As every products works different way and some skin care products working on another may not work for you so, before you make a decision to buy over the counter skin care products make sure you look for the right ingredients that suits your skin
Nice posting. We should always be careful when we are applying any skin product to our face near our eyes. We should always take care of our eyes.
Reviving Eye Cream from Omorovicza is what I am using. I know how sensitive the skin under our eyes are. There are a lot of skin care products that is specifically used for the eye areas. I have used some of them. But the one I am using now is, if not the best, better than the others that I have tried. Please continue posting articles like this. It’s so informative. Thanks!
Thanks for the post! Most people know to be careful with products around the eye area but most don’t understand why. Understanding why will definitely motivate us to be more careful!
