You have to be very careful with DIY sunscreen. I make all my own products except for my sunscreen. It must be a broad spectrum in order to do any good.

i agree with sandy, even labs have a problem getting it in right proportions. it has to be tested every step of the way. i would use the available sunscreens, sunblocks already on the market.
