I have this red bump on my shoulder?

I'm 13 and I've had this red bump since forever. I'm not sure if I've had it since I was a baby, but if not, I've had it since around 5. I went to a normal family doctor to ask about it and she said was "It's fine just note any changes in shape, size or color" that's it... She didn't even tell me what is is.. That doctor never tells me what's wrong with me I just want to ask what is this and what can I do to get rid of it? I already have a blue birthmark (I think it's called a mongolian birthmark?) on my leg and I'm already self conscious enough about that. I have a low self esteem and stuff and that red thing isn't helping.

Welcome to the forum Tiffany, few questions i would like to ask before suggesting...
Is the lesion hard or soft? Or blood filled like..?
does the lesion depress or retract when u pinch (when applied pressure laterally, dimple sign)
Do you have any sensation .. pain, itching ?
Do you feel like the bump is fixed to the deeper skin layer or can be moved over?
Do u have such lesion on other parts of body?
Has it changed its shape, size, color?


Please do answer those questions ....

-The bump is soft.
-doesn't do anything when pressure is applied to it, although if enough pressure is applied, I get a sharp pain.
-No pain or itching if left alone but if I pinch it hard enough, I'll feel pain.
-I feel like it's fixed in the deeper layer.
-Nope, the only place I have it i on my shoulder.
-I haven't really paid mucj attention to it since I've had it since I was little but it's always been red, it seems like it got rounder but I'm not sure. Sorry..
