No it won't protect you from the sun, you must strictly apply broad-spectrum sunscreen or limit the exposure to the sun, else you will get more hyperpigmentation and other photo-induced skin diseases. For better result cover the ares with broad-spectrum sunscreen of SPF at-least 30+ or with protective clothing.

    garnier!!
but my personal experience tells that curd and milk cream applied on face during night and a bit of oil in d morning before going out to reflect the sun rays

why oil because it makes the harsh sunlight to bounce off!!!

The safest and most effective way to get protection from the sun is to use sunblock of SPF 30 or higher. I recommend using a higher SPF on your face. Neutrogena sells pretty good, affordable ones. Summertime is definitely the best time to stock up on some sunblock.

EpiQuin Micro reduces the formation of melanin in the skin(pigment in skin that gives it a brown color). But it can make your skin more sensitive to sunlight.
Avoid exposure to sunlight and use a sunscreen (minimum SPF 15) if you must be out in the sun.

Buy a daily moisturizer for your face that contains an SPF of at least 15 and try to avoid being in direct sunlight from 10 AM to 4 PM when sun rays are the strongest.

If you want to protect your skin from harmful UV rays than you must apply sunscreen with SPF 30 or more. It is only sunscreen that will protect your skin from harmful UV rays.
