Finding an eye cream isn’t as easy as some people make it out to be. With thousands of companies peddling eye creams of all different ingredient formulas and concentrations, it’s hard to find the best eye cream. Eye creams are a product that men and women alike should start to use in their mid-twenties as part of not only an anti aging cream, but as a preventative measure that works on a therapeutic level to prevent future signs of aging.
With all of the companies making claims of formulating the best eye cream, how do you know who is telling the truth?
I’m on a mission to help people understand a few things about these companies, and will do my best to teach you all how to look under the proverbial hood of an eye cream. Here are some tips you can follow as you do your own research. Make mental note of these tips, and you will find a cream that will work well for whatever skin condition you are trying to treat.
1. Don’t believe everything you read.
Sure, small time blogs like “Jill from Arkansas” may provide information, but most times these are paid marketing affiliates that earn a % of the sale should someone buy the eye cream after clicking on their site. Of course the people are going to tell you that they fully endorse the product, and believe in its’ results, when they are PAID to say so!
To avoid reading bad information, stick to top-level, authority websites. Anyone can buy a .net, .org, or hyphenated domain name, slap up a site, work on it a bit, make it look amateur, and try to make some cash. The real authorities spend big money on domains like EyeCream.com, for example. Those are the types of sites you should look to when you seek out information that is about as unbiased as you can get.
2. Look long and hard at ingredients.
Gone are the days when aloe vera is the premier ingredient in any skin care formula, and here are the days of cosmeceuticals. If you haven’t heard that term, get to know it, because it’s here to stay. In layman’s terms, a cosmeceutical product is a skin care product that leverages the power of pharmaceutical grade ingredients made by companies like Sederma and Centerchem. These ingredients, used at the proper concentration levels, make a prescription-style impact on the cream’s formula. However, the concentration levels are legally made to be below the necessary amount that would require one to get a prescription from an authorized health care professional, such as a Doctor. Think about it this way, if you are in a major car accident that results in you having to chronically suffer from extreme back pain, what would you rather use to cure it? Something of prescription strength, such as Vicodin? Or, an over the counter pain reliever, such as Tylenol? The same logic can be applied to dark circles under the eyes, eye bags, and puffiness. Don’t reach for that free bottle of moisturizer you took from the Holiday Inn, use something that is formulated specifically for your ailment.
Some of the top eye cream ingredients include Haloxyl, Argireline, Eyeliss, and Gaba.
3. Read plenty of eye cream reviews.
Any time you invest in something long term, you should put a good amount of due diligence into your decision. Just like when you test drive a car, and read consumer reports, you should do the same thing when you buy an eye cream. It’s as easy as going online, typing in the name of the product you have questions about, and reading the information that is displayed. Eye cream reviews are posted all the time by consumers like you who want to help others find the right cure for the many ailments that go hand in hand with aging. Of course, try to weed out the obvious endorsements, and ask many questions. Just like there are many people posting reviews about the latest Hollywood movies, there are people out there posting eye cream reviews for you to read and decipher.
If you follow these tips, you will be a much better consumer, and make well-informed decisions. If you find the best eye cream early on in life, you will never have to go through this process again.

Let me start by saying that I’ve been an actor(mostly starving one)for the past 22 years.,in between gigs I did make up.I’ve tried just about every product for eye wrinkle treatment there is.Then a friend of mine (who has also always been on the same quest)called me a few weeks ago and said ,rather
yelled”Lisa I found it I found it”,My reply was “Found WHAT?”she went on to tell me about this line from Paris that for years refused to sell in the US.
Finally after much debate they decided as of January 1st of 2009 they would, but not in stores,it had to be sold by indiviuals that were trained in their skincare.I guess most of their sales come from word of mouth and host parties.
They did finally put up a website for those of us(myself included )that doesn’t know anybody that hosts parties for “Votre Vu”.she sent me a before and after picture that blew my mind. This is not somebody that would ever promote anything. So I ordered mine two days ago and I’ll keep you posted.
This friend of mine is the ONLY person who if they say something is life changing, then it is.You can take that one to the bank.
